D-major tongue drums are among the most popular types of tongue drums. However,

finding sheet music or songbooks specifically adapted for this scale can be a

challenge. In response to popular demand, we have carefully selected and transposed

47 songs to fit the D-major key, making it easier for players to enjoy a variety of

melodies.

This collection includes 33 well-known and simple children's songs, perfect for

beginners, along with 14 romantic songs, ballads and hymns suited for an adult

audience. Each piece is adapted to be played on tongue drums tuned to the D-major

scale.

Playable on Different Drum Sizes

The arrangements in this book are designed to accommodate various D-major tongue

drums:

- A 15-note D-major tongue drum (the most common model) allows you to

play all 47 songs.

- A 13-note D-major tongue drum can also play the full selection.

- A 11-note tongue drum enables you to play 28 songs.

- A 8-note tongue drum fits 21 of the songs in this book.

Playing by Numbers

For tongue drums with numbered notation, the numbers 1 to 7 represent the notes of

the major scale. Dots above or below the numbers indicate higher or lower octaves,

respectively.
